Here’s the seat I was telling you about, I just went ahead and picked it up, so if you want it let me know and I’ll bring it up on the 18th. If not, no worries. I’m sure somebody will want it.

End Of an Era
June 26, 2007
So yesterday I had my first big crash.
Going full bore up King St. past Dovercourt, I got in the drops, head down and just pushed with all my might up a very slight hill. I raised my head and saw the streetcar doors open a few feet away from me (for you non Torontonians, you are supposed to stop when you see this). Making a really bad judgement call, I thought to myself ‘no stopping now…its all or nothing.’ I thought I could weave around, cram on the pedals and take the holeshot. Only problem was that a pedestrian stepped directly into my path.
The collision was harder than Brian Campbell’s hit on RJ Umberger.
Luckily no-one was hurt and the only damage done was to my 1968 Atala frame. The entire head tube bent inwards about 10 degrees. Needless to say, the frame is fucked and I’m currently looking for a new setup.
Funny thing is, I’m not really too sore on losing the frame. Perhaps its because I’ve been on the prowl for a new frame anyways? Perhaps its because the Atala frame really only cost me $300 after purchasing it, fixing it and painting it? Anyhow, I’m just glad (lucky) that no-one was hurt and that the rest of my components are in tact.
RIP Atala – June 25 2007
PS: if anyone is interested in buying this frame and making something out of it, by all means do email me. nick.chen-yin@rogers.com
Aidan’s Fuji Track Pro…
June 18, 2007
…is for sale.
I like Aidan, but I think he’s a puss for wanting to put his bike on the market, but you know what they say; his loss could be your gain.
It’s a 56cm, fully stock, 2006 model. The frame is covered in electrical tape to deter thieves at the moment, but it’s easily removable.
All this for a $1000 asking price.
